She has illustrated a number of books, and is a three-time recipient of the Governor General's Award for Illustration, Canada's most prestigious literary prize.
Her evocative, poetic and sophisticated style is a mix of retro and modern. Through her soft watercolors, a fine and intricate line work can be seen. A multitude of details, often humorous, bring a rich touch to her compositions. She likes to explore different applications of her medium, whether it’s illustrating books or designing textile.

Formée en design graphique à l’Université du Québec à Montréal et en illustration à l’École supérieure des arts décoratifs de Strasbourg (France), Janice Nadeau a travaillé comme directrice artistique au sein de différentes organisations. Elle a illustré de nombreux livres et a remporté trois fois le prestigieux Prix du Gouverneur Général du Canada pour ses illustrations.
Son style, évocateur, poétique et sophistiqué, mélange le rétro et le moderne. À travers ses douces couleurs à l’aquarelle, elle laisse transparaître de fines lignes de crayon. Une multitude de détails, souvent rigolos, apportent une touche ludique à ses compositions. Janice aime travailler à différents projets, que ce soit illustrer des livres ou créer des textiles.
