I just discovered your blog and work Janice. Just beautiful! I really love this illustration of Joan, my favorite Mad Men character. Bravo! How do you get your color so flat? Do you add it on the computer or do you work with watercolor or gauche?

Thanks Nancy! In my illustrations, I often use watercolor and pencil, and sometimes gouache. After the scan is done, I then balance the colors a little to optimize the printed results, but other than that I do not alter my work digitally.
